A Trauma-Informed, Harm Reduction Focused Psychedelic Use Model

Part of the Mt. Tam Psilocybin Summit.

What does trauma-informed psychedelic use look like? What can we learn from sex-positive communities about building and honoring consent in psychedelic spaces?

Grounded in an understanding of personal and collective trauma and harm reduction principles, this workshop will lead participants through the various stages of psychedelic use, from planning to aftercare, and will discuss evidence-based practices and relevant tools that can be employed at each stage to uphold personal and community consent. Participants will be invited to explore building and practicing consent through interactive exercises (participation in the interactive portion entirely optional).

In collaboration with Britta Love and Mohawk Greene.

Trauma Response in the Time of COVID-19 and Civil Unrest

The fact of the matter is that life has been a bit more stressful lately, to put it mildly. In this workshop, we will learn how trauma works in the body and brain, and the reasons why this particular moment might be causing traumatic responses. We will also learn tools for supporting each other through this traumatic moment.
