Teaching Consent and Sexual Communication Techniques to Youth in Abstinence-Focused Settings
Leader of the “Weinstein, #MeToo, and Consent Culture Advocating for Sexual Safety and Interrogating Gender Norms” alumni discussion
Hear from Gallatin alumna Emma Kaywin (BA ’10) at a roundtable discussion about the current issues surrounding consent, sexual safety, and power. This event will be limited to 20 people and facilitated by Samantha Brahms (BA ’08).
Come talk about how to practice safety and consent in community spaces. Learn how you might be contributing to the problem (without even knowing it!), how you can work to minimize harm in yourself and others, and start thinking about different models of ensuring that community spaces are safe. This training is open to anyone interested in making events safer for all genders, races/ethnicities, sexualities, and bodies of different abilities.
